This upgrade option is for the Bakcou Mule and Bakcou Storm electric mountain bikes. This internally-geared rear hub eliminates the rear derailleur and cassette. It has 14 gears and you do not need to be pedaling when you shift. It is the latest technology for mountain bikes.
Free shipping to the lower 48. For shipments to Alaska, Hawaii and Canada, Shipping is $500 for orders under $6000 and $800 for orders $6000 and above.
Orders for in-stock items take 24-48 hours to process, then about 5-7 days in transit. Delays due to Covid have occurred. If an item is on backorder, the estimated ship date will be shown below the Pre-Order Button.
All products are shipped free within the Contiguous US via UPS, FedEx or similar carrier. Shipping to AK, HI and PR may incur additional charges.

Does this include everything needed or is it just the hub?
Bakcou has come out with the Storm Jäger and the Mule Jäger, which incorporate the Rohloff hub into those models. If you were to order one of those models and wanted the Rohloff Hub Upgrade, then you would add this item to your cart. This Upgrade covers the cost of upgrading the Mule or Storm to include the Rohloff IGH. We are waiting for new photographs showing the Jäger (without the derailleur), and will post those as soon as possible.
